Qi Certified Products

Qi Certified wireless charging products deliver a safe and reliable wireless charging experience.

Products marked as Qi Certified have passed rigorous, independent laboratory tests for safety, interoperability and energy efficiency. Alternative claims like “Qi compliant,” “Qi compatible” or “Works with Qi,” suggests a product has not undergone proper Qi certification testing.

Seamless Compatibility

Qi certification ensures that devices (the power receivers) and chargers (the power transmitters) – always work together for simple and easy charging.

  • Every Qi Certified device and charger works together, including products from multiple manufacturers – even products using earlier versions of the Qi standard.
  • Every Qi Certified car charger will not interfere with other car electronics (wireless key fob, navigation systems, etc.).
  • Every Qi Certified product is easy and intuitive to use.

Recognizing a Qi Certified Product

The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) is the standards organization responsible for developing and managing the Qi standard. Here are some simple guidelines to avoid counterfeit products that have not been approved as Qi Certified.

Look for the Qi Logo

Only Qi Certified products can legally use the Qi logo. Although a Qi logo isn’t a guarantee of certification (many products attempt to use the logo illegally), the absence of the logo suggests the product is not certified.

Ask for the Qi Certificate of Registration

A manufacturer may illegally print a Qi logo on an uncertified product. How can you make sure the product has been tested properly and is not a fake Qi product?

There is one way to make absolutely sure:

Look up the product in the Qi Certified Product Database

The WPC issues an official Qi Certificate of Registration whenever a product is certified. If you’re unsure about a product or brand, just ask the manufacturer to share their certificate. If you are a professional buyer, you can also ask your vendor to provide you with their product's Qi Certificate of Registration.

The Qi certificate is valid when the URL that is printed on the certificate brings you to a page on our website that shows the same product (visually identical, same brand name, product name, and type number).

Still unsure? Search for the product in our on-line database.

The WPC website is continually updated with a database listing all Qi Certified products. This database is fully searchable and can be found here.
