The WPC is creating and maintaining multiple specifications, which are grouped into two ecosystems. An ecosystem defines products that are compatible or have high commonality in their architecture.
Regular members are required to participate in at least one ecosystem, though they are welcome to participate in all ecosystems. The annual Ecosystem Fee is $10,000 per ecosystem. The Regular member fees (as found in the WPC Pricing Information document) assume participation in one ecosystem. Each additional ecosystem will increase the membership fee by $10,000 per year.
Adopter members do not pay an Ecosystem Fee as they are not entitled to the same ecosystem participation granted to Regular members. Adopter members can participate remotely via Webex to Quarterly General Meetings, which may include ecosystem specific discussions and by invitation can participate on a limited basis in ecosystem meetings. Adopter membership does not include access to specification development meetings thought Adopter members do have the opportunity to see specification Review Drafts.
By joining the WPC you will become a key player in shaping and advancing wireless power standards. WPC members gain invaluable insights to compete more successfully and lead the charge in introducing cutting-edge wireless power transfer products to the market.
