The Energy Star efficiency rating for wireless chargers

This presentation explains the efficiency rating method that is jointly being developed by The Wireless Power Consortium and the US Department of Energy (for the EPA's ENERGY STAR® program).

Consistency is the primary objective. The rating method determines the relative differences between devices: if product A measures 7% better than product B, then a consumer is likely to realize efficiency from product A that is also 7% better than if they had chosen product B.
