Leggett & Platt serves up Qi wireless charging at restaurants and other public spaces

Key benefits:

  • Conveniently delivers efficient charging power to devices
  • Eliminates the need for portable charging devices
  • Increases safety with no need for electrical outlets

Leggett & Platt is one of the world’s leading diversified manufacturers. They produce everything from the box springs in our beds to the fabrics used in clothing.

The company’s Helios division is using the Qi wireless charging standard to make charging cables a thing of the past in a variety of settings, including restaurants and offices.

The company chose Qi for its line of OEM and aftermarket wireless charging devices built on the Qi standard for a convenient, cable-free charging experience, said Leggett & Platt spokesman Peter Hoehne.

“We adopted Qi because it is an open, fully flexible standard that can keep pace with technology that is constantly evolving to offer better features,” he said. “Qi is the best wireless standard because it supports both inductive and resonant charging, spatial freedom and intelligent power management.”

Beyond eateries, Qi is showing up in other Leggett & Platt products including autos, fixtures and displays, and aerospace.
