This week, WPC member Aircharge revealed it expanded its partnership with McDonald’s with an installation that represents the largest deployment of Qi wireless charging points at a single restaurant site. With more than 70 Aircharge Qi wireless charging positions installed in tables and benches, this new flagship restaurant was designed to redefine the dining experience.
NBC News covered the news about the installation. Take a look at the wireless charging points installed in this McDonald’s location, which got a revamp to match consumer’s technology needs.
This is the largest deployment of Qi wireless charging points in a single restaurant site to date. There are over 70 wireless charging positions installed in tables and benches in the McDonald’s restaurant, but more can be found across the country. Now there are hundreds of restaurants across Europe that use wireless charging. While a significant amount of Qi wireless locations exist in Europe, the Qi wireless charging ecosystem is also growing in Asia and in the U.S., and that is evident with this flagship McDonald’s location in Chicago, Illinois.
